The good news for Sixers' fans is that your team is young and does have enough talent to play spoiler to a lot of Eastern Conference teams. Unfortunately, it probably isn't talented enough to make the playoffs, although, if Andre Miller, Andre Iguodala, and Samuel Dalembert can avoid the injury bug and play well together, the Sixers have a strong nucleus to build around.
Iguodala is an All-Star talent and Andre Miller is as reliable of a point guard as they come. His presence makes his teammates better and gives them a chance in all of the games they play. Dalembert is a strong inside player who possesses great shot-blocking and rebounding ability. If the Sixer front office can continue surrounding these three with additional talent, their climb back up to the top of the Eastern Conference won't be as long as some think.
While the Sixers' organization is still in a state of flux, fans shouldn't give up on the team that actually does the playing. If the owners can find a strong representative for their general management duties, the team should be able make it through the rebuilding process, something the Chicago Bulls struggled with for years after Michael Jordan retired.
